Directions: From I-85, take Exit 204, go south on Hwy. 96 for 1.1 mile, turn left on Fairport Rd., go 2.4 miles, right on Cannady Mill Rd., sale ¼ mile on left @ Granville County Livestock Arena. Also, from jct. of Hwy. 96 & 56 @ Wilton, take Hwy. 96 north 2 miles, turn right on Cannady Mills Rd., arena approx. 6 miles on right. Watch for cattle auction arrows leading way to sale.

A complete dispersal – 47 Commercial Cattle
(8) Black stand up 1st calf heifers due to calve prior to sale, bred to Smith Creek Angus calving ease bull, these heifers averaged 808# @ weaning time from their mama, they will calve @ 2 ½ yrs., a powerful set of heifers with great amounts of volume, these heifers were sired by SimAngus bulls - Bill Pyle, blue & pink tags & Leachman bull– green tag, tag in left ear indicate sire, these heifers should average 1350# +.
(39) Cows from 4 – 8 yrs. old, (5) of these should have fresh spring baby, (2) have late winter calf & should be 3-n-1, (26) should be early fall calvers consist of (4) BWF, (1) Red Angus, (34) Black, calves sold off these cows 13th March.
Cattle have been kept behind a slick wire electric fence, grazed fescue & wintered TMR of hay & corn silage in the winter, dewormed twice a year with Cydectin, all these cows are bred to a cracker jack, thick SimAngus bull raised by Bill Pyle from Youngsville, NC.
Also selling 2 ½ yr. old Smith Creek Angus calving ease bull.
Auctioneer’s Note: Rian is having a complete dispersal due to some unforeseen health complications. He will not be able to look after his herd @ this time. Rian is the son of the late John Lee Wilder, cousin to the late Larry & Melvin Lee (Bro) Wilder. All the Wilders of Mitchner’s X Roads & Franklin County were known far & wide for their knowledge of crops & cattle farming. When you purchase these genetics, you will not only be buying top notch cattle, you will be buying years of knowledge that you can continue upward in the cattle raising business on the family farms for generations to come.

(29) Cows – all these cattle are young to middle age, average 1325#, short hair, good udders, good feet, some of these 1st thru 4th calvers, consist of (3) BWF, (1) Red Baldie, (2) Simmental X, (23) Angus & Angus X, at press time (20) spring calves on ground, some more should be here prior to auction, kept behind slick wire electric fence, wintered on silage, hay and protein blocks w/a balanced mineral pack, ½ of these cows will have Hereford sired calf @ side, the others are sired by Angus bull & all cattle exposed back black bulls, on regular vaccination program, ½ will be killed virus, ½ will be Pyramid modified live, pour on dewormer, will be a lot of 3-n-1 in this group of cows.

All Cattle Will be Screened for Reproductive Soundness by DVM Sam Galphin. All cattle 18 months of age & older will be EID. All cattle will be on regular vaccination program & parasite control or brought up to date week of sale
