Auctioneer’s Note: Dan Taylor’s heart has always been in farming. He followed in his father’s footsteps, and grew up learning how to take care of the land & raise crops to support his family. He also attended NC State University & graduated with Associates Degree from the Ag Institute in 1983. After that, he returned home to the family farm again to continue working as he had before. He spent 40 more years farming, weathering the hard times & enjoying the good times. In the past few years, he was diagnosed with a heart condition, but he did not let that slow him down. Seeds still needed to be planted in spring, plants tended to in summer, & then crops harvested in fall. In the fall of 2022, however, he was forced to step away from the fields to undergo a heart transplant procedure. It’s been a long road of recovery, but he persevered. Even though he’s choosing to retire now, he still has a heart for farming.
For more info give Dan a call @ 252-578-2247.
